Who we are

Piñatita™ is a bilingual children's entertainment and educational brand from Thinker & Hatcher Studios. This policy covers pinatita.com and the forms, newsletter and booking requests offered on it. For any privacy question, write to hello@pinatita.com.

Children's privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Our stories are made for children, but this website is directed to parents, educators, librarians and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK), and we do not ask children to register, comment, upload content or share photos here.

All forms on this site ask for adult contact details and must be completed by a parent, guardian or professional adult. We do not show behavioral or interest-based advertising to children, and we do not build advertising profiles from anyone who visits this site.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email hello@pinatita.com with the details and we will delete it promptly, normally within 30 days. Parents may also ask us to review or stop any further collection of their child's information.

Information we collect

Information you give us: the name, email address, organization, event details and message you submit through our newsletter, booking, licensing, press and contact forms.

Information collected automatically: basic technical data our hosting provider records to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps in server logs. We use aggregate, non-identifying page-view counts to understand which pages are useful.

We do not collect precise location, biometric data, or sensitive categories of personal information, and we never ask for payment card details on this website.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only what the site needs to work. Strictly necessary cookies and local storage keep your language choice (English or Spanish), remember that you already closed the newsletter pop-up, and protect our forms from spam and abuse. These are not used for advertising.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or ad networks anywhere on this site. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Embedded content — such as YouTube videos, retailer links or ticketing pages — may set its own cookies once you interact with it. Those cookies are controlled by the provider under its own policy. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site will still work, but your language preference may not be remembered.

How we use information

To reply to your inquiry, prepare and confirm a booking, answer press and licensing requests, send the newsletter you asked for, and keep the site secure and working. We process this information because you asked us to (your consent or steps toward an agreement) and for our legitimate interest in running a safe website.

We never sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us operate: website hosting and database storage, and our email delivery provider that sends your confirmation message and notifies our team. They may process information only on our instructions.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of children, our audience or our team.

How long we keep it

Inquiry, booking and press messages are kept while we work with you and for up to 24 months afterwards for our records. Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email. Depending on where you live, you may also ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or object to how we use it.

To make a request, email hello@pinatita.com from the address you used. We will respond within 30 days and will never charge you or treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

Security and international transfers

Form data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access limited to our team. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we review our practices regularly. Our providers may store data in the United States; where required, we rely on approved safeguards for international transfers.

Changes and contact

If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date below and, when appropriate, tell newsletter subscribers by email.
